When all the stars align, and I've run out of things to divert myself with, I can sometimes force myself to leap the gaping chasm that doubles for a studio door......and pick up and play with a lump of clay. After many years of this, one would think that the process could be short-cutted, informed by a smidgeon of self-knowledge- but not so, if anything, it's now attained ritual status. I have overwhelming admiration -and envy- of friends for whom the daily picking up of clay is no more significant than pulling on a grubby pair of socks from the rubble of the day before.
Thank-you for taking the time to visit this site, and hopefully to enjoy the images of my work; you can find more about the work itself under 'Blog", and the video below shows me at work in -and out of-my previously somewhat confined studio space.
